Objective

Improve dry-run or preview output for JSON animation packs so users can inspect what a pack will do before running it on hardware.

Scope

Add or improve summary output showing:

  • Pack name.
  • Pack version.
  • Logical zones used.
  • Effect types used.
  • LED ranges touched.
  • Duration or loop summary.
  • Whether any zone is unused.
  • Validation status.

Acceptance criteria

  • Users can inspect a pack without writing RGB data.
  • Dry-run output clearly identifies zones and effects.
  • Reserved-zone safety remains enforced.
  • Documentation includes dry-run examples.
